Privacy policy

Short version

There is no account, no newsletter, no advertising network and no analytics profile of you. The template mode runs entirely in your browser. The AI mode sends your inputs to a model provider to produce one response, and we don't retain that text.

What the AI mode sends, and where

When you click "Generate with AI", the job title, company, the evidence lines, the optional "why this company" line, and your tone selection are sent to this site's server, which forwards them to a third-party language model API to generate the letter. The response comes straight back to your browser. We do not write your inputs to a database, we do not build a profile from them, and we do not use them to train models.

Do not paste anything you would not send to a third-party API: your home address, your national ID, your salary history, or anything about another person. The generator doesn't need any of it. Use a placeholder for your name if you prefer and fill it in after copying.

What is stored on your device

Nothing that identifies you. The generator holds your form values in memory for the current page only; reload and they're gone.

Server logs

The site is served by a CDN, which keeps standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention. Those logs are not linked to anything you typed into the generator.

Cookies

No tracking cookies are set by this site. Affiliate links, when present, may set a cookie on the destination site after you click — that is governed by their privacy policy, not ours.

Your rights

Because we don't hold personal data about you, there is usually nothing to access, correct or delete. If you believe we do hold something, write to hello@aicoverlettergen.com and we will answer within 30 days.

Children

This site is aimed at people applying for jobs. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
